As a business owner or marketing person you may have thought why do I need a corporate video for my website? You may think that your words and pictures cover all the messages you want to express and there is little reason to invest in adding video.

However, have you considered the speed in which the way we do business is changing? The oppourtunities in Online Video are huge and almost unlimitless. Within a 2 – 3 minute video you are able to capture a vast amount of dynamic and engaging content. This will not only inspire your audience, but if optimised correctly attract new audiences via this tried and tested medium.

Here are some interesting facts about video for web:

  1. Video optimisation is becoming more important as Internet speeds increase
  2. 80% of all viewed content on the Internet will be video by 2012.
  3. UK Internet traffic to online video content increased by over 250 % this year
  4. There are 1.5 million business searches daily on Youtube. This makes YouTube the second most popular UK site for business searches after Google.co.uk.
  5. Many BluChip companies will stop investing resources into their company websites and develop their YouTube channels.

If you are thinking about web video – it makes sense to use a company that knows how to optimise your video too – providing the best value for money – at studio8 we have a video development team and search engine optimisation team which when combined will create the best possible chances in obtaining new business via online film.

At studio 8 we are able to capture a high quality video for any size of business. We have the ability to shoot 4 X High Definition using our RED Camera – this content is big enough to play at cinemas and is what the major film studios have been shooting on for films such as ‘Angels and Demons’, ‘Knowing’, ‘Jumper’ and many more.

Studio 8′s Top 5 Wedding Tips

0 Comments 17 November 2009

top 5 wedding photography tipstop-tips

1. RELAX! – The best photographs are those where the bride and groom are at ease. You have spent so long planning your big day and probably made sure that your friends and family all have a job – now leave it to them and enjoy yourself and your personality will shine through in the shots!

2. HAVE FUN! – Having fun makes you happy, being happy makes you smile and smiling will make your photographs!

3. PRACTICE – There’s nothing wrong with having a little practice. You will be wearing a very important dress on the day (or suit) and you want to wear it well – maybe take a look in some wedding magazines at how other couples have photographed and see what works for you? However don’t get too ‘posey’  – the more natural the better – its about you!

4. ORGANISE – This applies mainly to the group shots. Time is short at weddings for line ups and so a tight ship is in required! Perhaps nominate an usher or two to be in charge of gathering together the friends and family to the group photographs. This will allow us to concentrate on arranging everyone and achieve the best shots.

5. SPECIAL PEOPLE – Obviously everybody is important at your wedding, however you may have certain friends or family who you just have to have a shot of on the day. Make sure that they are included in the group shots or maybe make a special effort to have a separate photograph with them. Remember, you know who these people are and not your photographer – so be sure to point them out!

Venture Vouchers

0 Comments 03 September 2009

At Studio8 we pride ourselves on our friendly and fun atmosphere. We have many happy customers and are pleased that so many come back year after year. We receive many enquiries relating to the price of our products as many people have been put off in recent times by studios that over charge for prints after your shoot is over.

We have always aimed to provide high quality products at affordable prices – so that we have happy customers who come back to us.

If you have a Venture Portrait Studio Voucher we can accept these at our Oxford Studio. For example: If you have a voucher that offers a free sitting at Venture, we will accept this in return for our equivalent product*

Here is an approximate guide to what you could save on purchasing products at Studio8 as opposed to Venture on a popular choice of framed print:

Venture Price**10×8 print in a 15×13 frame: £295.00
Studio8 Price 10×12 print in a 20×16 frame: £80 (as part of a current Buy one Get one free offer – full price = £160 for 2)

If you don’t have a voucher to swap, you can choose from any of our popular studio sessions on our main website: www.studio-8.co.uk

* terms apply. our decision to honor the voucher is final. we may refuse to honor vouchers without notice. studio8 may withdraw this offer at anytime without notice.

Mykonos!

0 Comments 03 September 2009

Clark just got back from Mykonos Greece where he was lucky enough to photograph a new Villa out there using a mixture of natural and HDR photography. HDR photography allows us to capture details closer to that which the human eye sees. Its great for capturing deep exposures especially on Interior Photography shoots.

Mykonos is a great island lots of partying and amazing weather – go there if you get the chance!

Here are a few shots:
